Malaysia is currently deciding whether non-Muslims can use the word “Allah” along with 18-25 other words. Particular attention to Christians using those words in efforts to evangelize Muslims. If “Allah” was “allowed to be used by Christians, it could threaten national security and public order.”
“Any attempt to stop the Christians to use the word will violate their constitutional right to practise their faith unhindered,” Jagir told The Malaysian Insider.
He made the comments following a statement by Datuk Seri Najib Razak yesterday that the 10-point solution allowing for the use of “Allah” in Bibles was valid for Sabah and Sarawak, and any other state that does not forbid its use among non-Muslims.”
As much as I find it silly that Muslims are uptight about such things, I also find it silly that Christians would describe God as Allah in an effort to evangelize.
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord” and He aint the God Allah.
