Anti-Itch Meditation Final Exam

Thanks for the kind words guys. I appreciate it. Makes me feel gooey inside.

Frank asked for a final exam to test whether you’ve graduated from my school. It’s a one question final, answered with one word. Here it is:

When it comes to verifying what the Bible says, don’t forget the _________. (The answer is not the Holy Spirit, as I assume that answer)

    Before someone would answer that question, I think we should think about why God gave us His word. I believe it is the same reason He sent His Son, to save sinners. Jesus died for the sins of all who would believe in Him, and in that light I would interpret God’s word.

    “don’t forget the…” overall message, For God so loved the world…

    A hint would have been good, as there are many possible right answers. But I’m going with something like “practice” or “obedience”, as that’s what Jesus said:

    John 7:17 – “If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.”

    The best way to verify the Bible is to practice it. If it doesn’t produce what it promises, then you have the wrong interpretation, no matter how many verses you stack up to support your view.
